Abstract

In today’s highly competitive professional landscape, it is essential for individuals to continuously sharpen their skills to remain relevant and advance in their careers. This study investigates the relationship between continuing education and career development among graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) program. It emphasizes the importance of lifelong learning as a key factor in achieving career growth. The research focuses on evaluating how skill enhancement through further education influences employability, salary progression, and opportunities for promotion. This study utilized a quantitative research design to collect data from graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) program through survey questionnaires. The data were statistically analyzed to identify the relationship between continuing education and career development. The study examined various factors, including demographic profiles, forms of continuing education undertaken, skills acquired, work-life balance, and opportunities for professional networking. The findings indicate that BSOA graduates participating in continuing education are predominantly young professionals in the early stages of their careers. Corporate training and professional development programs were identified as the most frequently pursued educational avenues. Respondents emphasized the importance of enhancing communication, leadership, and technical skills as primary motivations. Additionally, they reported that continuing education contributed to improved job opportunities, higher salary prospects, and greater career satisfaction. Networking opportunities also played a crucial role in supporting their professional development. This study underscores the positive effects of continuing education on career advancement, emphasizing the importance of integrating industry-relevant training with flexible learning within BSOA programs. It recommends revising the curriculum to incorporate greater alumni engagement and establishing professional development initiatives that support graduates in their lifelong learning journey. Cultivating this supportive environment provides BSOA graduates with a competitive advantage, fostering both continuous growth and resilience in an ever-evolving labor market.
