Abstract

This study investigates the inventory management practices of LSY office and computer supplies. It assesses how inventory levels are monitored, the establishment of reorder points, the application of the First In, First Out (FIFO) system, and the classification of inventory items. The objective is to enhance inventory accuracy and optimize stock control for improved operational efficiency. This study employed a correlational research design involving ten (10) employees of LSY Office and Computer Supplies. Participants were selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through a survey questionnaire to gather information on the business profile and identify problems encountered by the company. Statistical analyses included frequency and percentage, weighted mean, and the Kruskal-Wallis H test (ANOVA) to address the research questions and inform the development of an inventory management plan. The results of this study show that respondents generally agree on the evaluation of inventory tracking, setting pre-order points, inventory categorization, and the challenges faced. The most significant problem identified at LSY Office and Computer Supplies is the inconsistent application of the First In, First Out (FIFO) method, as many employees do not regularly implement it. This highlights the need for improvements to ensure FIFO is consistently and effectively practiced. It is recommended that LSY Office and Computer Supplies educate their employees on the proper use of the First In, First Out (FIFO) method and integrate it effectively into their daily operations. Furthermore, based on the study’s findings, the adoption of a structured inventory management plan is proposed to enhance inventory control and operational efficiency.
