Abstract

Our system addresses the critical need for efficient supply chain coordination within the hotel industry. Existing logistical systems often lack the structure and agility required to meet the demands of modern hotel and restaurant operations. To overcome these limitations and enhance efficiency, we propose the Hotel and Restaurant Management System: Logistics 1, which integrates warehouse management, vehicle reservation, and ordering modules. The system supports systematic inventory replenishment and advanced item tracking, consolidating logistics processes to minimize resource waste, ensure timely restocking, and provide real-time visibility of assets and inventories. This approach enhances delivery performance and operational agility. An agile project management methodology was employed, dividing development into multiple iterative phases. Concept Phase: The product owner outlined the overall project scope, emphasizing the integration of warehouse operations, vehicle reservations, and ordering into a unified logistics framework. Inception Phase: The development team was formed to initiate system planning and design. During this stage, key requirements were established, including item tracking capabilities and systematic inventory replenishment. The deployment of the Hotel and Restaurant Management System: Logistics 1 has markedly enhanced operational efficiency and resource management. By automating warehouse monitoring, truck dispatching, and order processing, the system minimizes human error and reduces reliance on manual labor. Systematic inventory replenishment ensures optimal stock levels, preventing both shortages and overstocking. Real-time item tracking and unified data administration provide greater transparency and responsiveness in logistics operations. Collectively, these improvements enable businesses to deliver services more effectively, avoid operational delays, and streamline logistics processes through data-driven decision-making. The integration of ordering procedures, inventory replenishment, warehouse administration, vehicle reservations, and item tracking into a unified platform represents a paradigm shift in hospitality logistics. The Hotel and Restaurant Management System: Logistics 1 delivers a comprehensive solution to the complex supply chain challenges faced by modern hotels and restaurants. By consolidating these critical logistical activities, the system enhances coordination, reduces inefficiencies, and equips organizations with the agility required to meet evolving operational demands.
