The recruitment and selection process at Bestlink College of the Philippines is managed by the Human Resources (HR) Department, led by Ms. Demi Ramirez. The department is tasked with screening and hiring applicants for various roles within the institution. However, the current process is entirely manual, as there is no dedicated system or software in place to assist with recruitment tasks. As a result, all applications are processed by hand, which may lead to inefficiencies and challenges in managing a growing number of candidates. Methodology refers to the organized set of methods and principles that guide the execution of research or projects across various disciplines, including science, business, and the social sciences. It defines the procedures and strategies for data collection, analysis, and interpretation, serving as a foundation for drawing valid conclusions. In the context of project management, Agile Scrum is a widely adopted methodology, particularly in software development. This framework promotes adaptability, teamwork, and continuous improvement by dividing work into short, time-bound cycles known as “sprints,” usually lasting two to four weeks. Through this iterative approach, teams can deliver incremental results, respond quickly to feedback, and maintain a high level of project flexibility. Bestlink College of the Philippines (BCP) employs a range of online platforms to support its recruitment process and connect with potential candidates. Based on a 2024 report by the AA Research Index, platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Indeed are most commonly used to advertise teaching positions and attract applicants. The college also conducts virtual interviews, primarily through phone calls and Google Meet, to accommodate remote applicants. However, technical issues—particularly unstable internet connections—have been cited as a recurring obstacle during these online interactions. BCP further promotes job opportunities through its official website and social media pages. For example, on January 20, 2025, a hiring event for foreign language instructors was posted on the college’s official website, bcp.edu.ph, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining a visible and accessible recruitment presence. The Human Resources recruitment and selection practices at Bestlink College of the Philippines (BCP) showcase a strategic blend of conventional approaches and emerging technologies. Through the use of online platforms, structured interviews, and performance-based evaluations, alongside the gradual adoption of a Human Resource Management System (HRMS), the institution emphasizes its commitment to building a highly qualified and future-oriented workforce. While BCP faces ongoing challenges such as technological constraints and infrastructure limitations, it remains proactive in enhancing its recruitment processes to align with both academic objectives and evolving industry standards.
