Shoplifting continues to pose a major challenge in the retail sector, particularly in convenience stores, where limited space, store layout, and low staffing levels hinder effective theft prevention. As retail-related crimes become more frequent and sophisticated, store owners and managers are increasingly pressured to adopt robust anti-theft strategies. Maintaining a secure shopping environment is crucial not only for minimizing losses but also for fostering customer confidence and employee morale. This study examines the effectiveness of various anti-shoplifting measures in convenience stores, focusing on the roles of surveillance systems, employee training, and the presence of visible security personnel. This study utilized a descriptive quantitative research design to assess the effectiveness of various security strategies implemented in convenience stores in Barangay San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City. This design was deemed appropriate as it enabled the collection of data that accurately describes the current security practices and conditions within these establishments. A survey method was employed, using structured questionnaires distributed to convenience store personnel to gather insights into their experiences, perceived safety, and the challenges they encounter. The data collected were analyzed using statistical tools to identify patterns, correlations, and the severity of the issues faced. This approach provided a comprehensive understanding of the existing security landscape and offered evidence-based recommendations for enhancing convenience store safety. This chapter presents the data collected by the researchers, along with corresponding tables, analyses, and interpretations. It includes the demographic profile of the respondents, the results of the survey questions, and the statistical methods applied in the study. The findings show that most respondents are aged between 18 and 27, with an even gender distribution and substantial experience in store operations. This demographic offers valuable perspectives on store functionality and security challenges. Remarkably, all respondents (100%) agreed that the existing security measures are insufficient, emphasizing an urgent need for improvement. They also noted that strengthening security would contribute significantly to both safety and overall operational efficiency.
