This study focuses on evaluating the implementation of safety and security procedures in Kai Mall, Caloocan, as a basis for enhancing public safety. The protection of patrons and the smooth operation of businesses within the mall rely heavily on the effectiveness of safety and security measures. These measures include the presence of trained security personnel, the installation of surveillance cameras, clearly marked emergency exits, and protocols to prevent incidents such as theft, vandalism, and other security threats. A strong security framework not only ensures the safety of employees and customers but also fosters a more positive and trustworthy shopping experience. Therefore, maintaining a secure environment is a top priority for the mall's management. This study employed a quantitative research design to assess the variables related to the implementation of safety and security procedures. The researcher prepared structured survey questions to collect relevant data. A total of 50 respondents participated, consisting of 30 shoppers and 20 security personnel. Data were gathered through face-to-face interviews and survey questionnaires. To ensure ethical standards, respondent confidentiality was upheld, and official permission was secured from the Customer Relations Services Officer of Kai Mall, Caloocan. Based on the data presented in Table 1, the majority of the respondents are aged 11 to 25 years old, with a frequency of 37, accounting for 74% of the total, and ranked first. This is followed by the 26 to 33 years old age group, with a frequency of 5 or 10%, ranked second. The 34 to 41 years old and 42 to 50 years old age groups both have a frequency of 4, each representing 8% of the total, and are tied at rank three. The total number of respondents is 50, representing 100% of the study population. The main purpose of this research is to evaluate the implementation of safety and security procedures to ensure they are effective, efficient, and consistently followed. These measures are essential in protecting individuals, property, and assets from potential risks. To maintain a safe environment for shoppers and support secure business operations, shopping malls must adopt industry-standard security practices. This includes the use of comprehensive security systems, such as strategically installed CCTV cameras in high-risk areas—including entrances, exits, parking lots, and escalators. These cameras should be monitored 24/7 by trained personnel to detect and respond promptly to any suspicious activity.
