Awareness of Bshm Students on the Benefits of NCII Assessment: Preparation for Employability

TESDA's National Certification Assessment (NC) is a key resource for job seekers, validating competence, knowledge, attitude, and behavior, and it's crucial for job prospects. BSHM students at BCP are mandated to undergo Assessment Training conducted by BCP Instructors and TESDA Assessors, which is vital for skill enhancement and workforce readiness. Successful NC completion signifies advanced training and application of knowledge, contributing to success in the professional industry.
This quantitative research used a descriptive design as a guide to determine the awareness of 3rd & 4th-year BSHM students on the benefits of NCII for employment preparation, with 50 respondents who had already undergone NCII. Purposive sampling was employed. The survey covers demographic profiles, benefits of NCII, how will they apply to their chosen field, challenges encountered, and proposed student references for employment preparation.
The survey results show the majority of respondents are from 4th-year(86%), female(58%), and 21 years old(30%). The benefits of NCII for BSHM students have an overall mean of 3.48 (Agree). Language and communication skills got the highest mean of 3.55 (Strongly Agree). NCII significantly enhances these crucial skills for the field. These skills benefit an overall professional performance and confidence. Summary of students that they can apply NCII in their chosen field with a 3.51 mean (Strongly Agree). The promotion has the highest mean of 3.60 (Strongly Agree). Students' ability to practice their NCII in their chosen field has significant implications for their potential advancement in their jobs. It indicates skill and leadership potential. The results of the challenges encountered by BSHM students in getting NC showed that knowledge got the majority. Despite challenges, the benefits of NCII for BSHM students are substantial, providing industry-relevant skills and knowledge critical for success. To address challenges, students should focus on skill development, particularly in communication, engage in training grounds that will aid them in experience, and undergo training for employment readiness.
The researchers propose a student reference and considering those recommendations for students to grow their skills, knowledge, attitude, and experience to prepare for the industry And for professors, instructors, and assessors to assist students in developing their skills and competencies, particularly those requiring assistance executing such activities.
