Abstract

The educational system in the Philippines was placed on high alert as the COVID-19
pandemic in 2019 happened; therefore, student learning has been significantly affected.
Without the help of our modern technology, providing quality education to students will be put
at stake. A Learning Management System offers a platform designed for teachers and
students to interact in which they can have an effective way of learning. However,
implementing this kind of platform faces some risks that may affect the users in the long run;
having a wide range of users, such as students, teachers, and staff, accessing the website
means having a strict implementation of user authenticity and strict guidelines in storing a
large number of data as it has a high risk when it comes to data privacy, also cheating during
examination is inevitable. Poor handling of course materials may also affect the student's
performance as this might hinder them to the extent of their potential. Tedious work of creating
user accounts and tagging subjects is also one of the concerns of the Learning Management
System.

It is proved that disabling the keys and recording the quiz logs of the students would lessen the
tendency of cheating incidents inside the Learning Management System. It is clear that
implementing a random snapshot, particularly for students taking their quizzes and
examinations, would ensure user authenticity. With that, a secure platform is implemented by
the team. The importance of generating reports for all the users was executed as it would give
them an overview of the data they want to monitor.

After conducting interviews and client testing, the project team identifies system development
strategies. The team proved that the Learning Management System has the potential and can
meet the set requirements as it fully complies with the administrative and educational tasks of
the institution. The team creates a platform for its users wherein a secure and user
authentication feature is added to the system; it will prove that further enhancement can be
added and contribute to a safe and fair learning environment.
