Abstract

The "Tanglawan Festival" is being held for the second time by the City of San Jose Del Monte
(CSJDM). It honors the locals' sincere joy as they cooperate to build a "Sustainable City."
Congresswoman Florida P. Robes hopes San Jose del Monte will become a beacon for its
residents, offering possibilities and economic growth to improve their quality of life. San Jose
Del Monte, Bulacan, held the largest lantern parade in the world in 2017, surpassing
Singapore's previous record of 10,568 participants. The parade was part of the Tanglawan
festival, commemorating the 16th anniversary of the city's founding. Residents built their own
lanterns out of recyclable items.

It was noted that the organizers and volunteers handled the event well, especially in terms of
promoting it, providing full security, and ensuring that monies were allocated in an adequate
and precise quantity for event preparations. Through observing the issue that the respondents
faced, it was noted that the respondents, or the event organizer and volunteers, had employed
traffic enforcers to ease the traffic congestion.

The major objective of this study is to give recommendations and ascertain how to better
evaluate Tanglawan festivities properly. The recommendations from the guidelines and
details on the events that gave rise to the Tanglawan Festival are contained in a separate
publication. Researchers can use the audience-supporting guideline "Assessment on
Tanglawan Festival Basis for Recommendation" to assist in producing suggestions.
