Abstract

The demand for healthier, more sustainable food options among consumers has increased
the appeal of organic food trends over the past few years, especially when the pandemic
came. As consumers become more environmentally conscious and health conscious, the
organic food industry is expected to continue its rapid growth. Students can support their local
economy and lessen their carbon footprint by choosing organic food from nearby farmers
because less transportation is needed to get the food to their schools or homes. Serving
organic food to students can benefit their health, the environment, and the local economy,
making it a wise decision for both schools and individuals. This study aimed to determine the
use of organic food among senior high school home economics students at Bestlink College of
the Philippines- Bulacan and to design a promotional campaign through a poster-making
contest.

The findings revealed that the majority of the respondents agreed that there are problems
encountered in using organic food in terms of environmental factors, physical health
conditions, physical activities, and finances. Thus, the majority of the respondents agreed that
using organic food affects environmental factors, physical health conditions, physical
activities, and finances.

Students can learn about the advantages of organic food and how to choose and prepare their
meals with knowledge. Students can enhance their health, support local agriculture, and
lessen their environmental impact by including organic foods in their diets. The pandemic had
an impact on different aspects of life, but people must be health conscious to be aware of the
importance of maintaining good health and taking action to promote it.
