Abstract

The Development of Smart Pharmaceutical Vending Machine with Vital Signs Check-Up is a
vending machine that serves its own purpose of not only being able to sell over-the-counter
drugs but also giving its registered users a vital sign check-up to get themselves checked if
they are feeling unwell or not and will send out an App Notification about the guidelines on how
to take a drug.

Now that we have made this Smart Pharmaceutical Vending Machine with Vital Signs Check-
Up fully functional, it is now able to operate through a coin detector and has six slots that can
allocate the products depending on the demand for OTC drugs as well as contraceptives. We
also use an RF Scanner for registered users who can scan their RFID-powered cards just to
get access to our vital signs check-up unit. Once the customer inserts the coins and matches
the amount needed for the products they want and also undergoes vital sign check-up, they
can go ahead and select the product they want, and after it is dispensed, it will send out an app
notification about the result of the vital sign check-up, the receipt, as well as the instructions on
how to take the drug effectively.
