Abstract

TikTok is a popular app that allows users to create movies and post them for anyone to watch.
However, it can be detrimental to some students due to its time waster, propensity towards
seclusion, and toxic atmosphere.

The study found that 86% of the population were 16-18 years old, with 20% being female and
60% being male. Table 3 shows the number of hours students spent using the TikTok app,
with category 1 having the highest percentage. Factors affecting academic performance in the
use of the TikTok app included time management, completing school work, and creating an
institution for students who experience overuse.

Recommendations include controlling and treating the presence of excessive use, teaching
teachers, creating an institution, and conducting seminars.
