Isolated Waffle Box Evacuation Center

Abstract

This study aimed to construct an isolated waffle box evacuation center, improve the evacuation center here in the Philippines, and determine the materials that can be utilized in constructing the isolated waffle box evacuation center. The procedure taken to construct the miniature, the problem encountered in the process of constructing the miniature, and the findings were utilized as a guide for the successful construction of the isolated waffle box evacuation center. This study found that the isolated waffle box evacuation center was planned following the floor plan, and the stairs in the miniature were long. Quantitative research was used as a research design for this study while utilizing purposive sampling to gather respondents in assessing the level of accessibility of the isolated waffle box evacuation center in terms of concepts, design, suitability of construction materials, and presentation. The researchers surveyed the respondents to gather data and to determine whether the proposed project was acceptable in terms of concepts, design, suitability of construction materials, and presentation. The results of the study in terms of concepts, design, suitability of construction materials, and presentation were strongly acceptable as assessed by mechanical engineers and civil engineers, thereby indicating no significant difference between the assessment of the two groups of respondents in terms of cited variables. Mechanical engineers obtained an overall weighted mean of 3.88, which was interpreted as strongly acceptable with a variance of 1.86. Meanwhile, civil engineers obtained an overall weighted mean of 3.89, which was interpreted as strongly acceptable, with a variance of 1.86. The recommendations of the two groups of respondents are as follows: add more design on the miniature to make it look creative and realistic, and researchers have to pay more attention to doing the miniature to make it more accurate and precise according to measurement. The researchers should also be mindful of the materials that were used on the miniature.
