Abstract

Hospitality Management is also about developing your Hard skills, and one of them is Bar and
Beverage Management, where you perform different kinds of activities, such as Mixology,
Flaring, Execution, etc. The Beslink College of the Philippines provides an Upgraded Bar Area
for Hospitality Management students who are taking the Bar and Beverage Management
Subject. The Bar Area is where the students perform different kinds of Alcoholic and Non-
alcoholic Beverages. Since this subject is about developing your hard skills in terms of
mixology and flaring, having an upgraded bar area will help the students perform their tasks
easily. Since the school provides them with an area that offers a lot of tools and equipment
that they can use when doing their simulation, it will also be easier for them to perform their
task; Bar area will not just help them to develop their skills but also being familiar in the
environment that the Bar has.

The result shows that the students are experiencing a problem with the availability of the
laboratory; some of the students cannot perform their activity on the same day as their
schedule due to the short period of time and also because there are a lot of students that are
taking bar and beverage management subject at Bestlink College of the Philippines. So, this
study shows that there are some factors that can affect the students in assessing their hard-
skills development.

This study proposed an action plan that the school should provide Storage of Ingredients, Bar
lab uniforms, and Availability of the laboratory. Storage for Ingredients so that the students
can store their ingredients properly to be able to use the rest of the ingredients for their next
laboratory. Bar laboratory uniforms are for students to have proper attire when they are inside
the Bar Area. Availability of the laboratory should also be equally arranged in every section so
the students in one section can all perform their activity.
