This research study was conducted to evaluate the record-keeping management at Folimac
Incorporated, to know the problems that the employees encountered while managing their
records, and to create suggestions and recommendations that they can use as a basis for
their improvement.
Evaluation of record-keeping management at Folimac Incorporated in terms of filling of
records is based on the Eight (8) Principles and Practices of Record-Keeping Management
(Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles) of filing room document management and
archiving. These principles are a great place to start when implementing an effective records
management strategy. The issues encountered by the respondents in managing their
records were presented in terms of filing records, records retrieval, records retention, and
records disposal. The researchers recommended that Folimac Incorporated conduct an
orientation seminar introducing a new method of using software and devices such as
scanners to improve their record-keeping management, as stated in the recommendations
as an output of this study. This will be done to ensure that the staff members are comfortable
with and knowledgeable enough about the new method of handling records to make their
work in the office more efficient.
Through this study process, the researchers will be able to see every problem that occurred
in every situation of the respondents and come up with a suggested solution to be the basis
of improvement. There is a need for innovative improvement in record-keeping management
in Folimac Incorporated's human resources department. This helps to reduce or completely
solve the problems faced by the respondents.
