The purpose of this study is to determine the challenges in record management of Barangay
Sta. Lucia Novaliches, Quezon City, in terms of data accuracy, information, data base-
digital, and paper record. The study utilized descriptive method and qualitative methods that
describe the situation of personnel and constituents of twenty (20) in Barangay Sta. Lucia.
The results of this study reveal that the challenges in record management in Barangay Sta.
Lucia, in terms of data accuracy, is a barangay personnel who know about important records
and data that are no longer needed; when do you get rid of old documents and records, to
achieve the best balance between maximizing data quality and controlling measurement
errors, based on the facts at their disposal, did brgy. Lucia must alter data correctly to
reduce or fix observable in accuracies, and to determine the brgy. Lucia accurate data. And
in terms of information, the biggest challenge is a section on the organization's record
schedule that details how long a record must be kept and what to do with it once that time
has passed. In terms of data base- digital is going to manage the data system if the power is
out. Paper records save the inhabitant's records, comfortable and simple to use, and quickly
locate residents who already have records; there is an action plan that can be proposed for
challenges in record management. In this study, the recommendation that the barangay is to
have a voluntary to know and assist in terms of records and data which helps to restrict the
growth and creation of records. Informations, and to get a utilized action plan is using the
daily log book and to get feedback from others. It is a must for a barangay to implement the
challenges encountered between constituents and make an acton plan that assists in
improving their barangay, especially in growth residents.
