The Benefits of Urban Ecotourism to the Local Government of Quezon City: Basis for Recommendations

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the benefits of urban ecotourism for local government in Quezon City: basis for recommendation. The researchers gathered the data needed for the study composed of (50) entrepreneurs, local people, and travelers aged 18 years and above who may travel to (Eco Park, Wildlife, and Memorial Circle) in Quezon City, Philippines. This study used the purposive sampling technique since it was limited to entrepreneurs, locals, and tourists. Through these respondents, the researchers attained the goal of interfering with the population from the sample.  

Almost all (90%) agreed they can maintain cleanliness in their community. The highest rates of the states of urban ecotourism in their community were deemed neutral. Implies that it is less than good but more than poor. Many do not pay the environmental fee to the community handling urban ecotourism, and few have an environmental fee in their community. Some people voluntarily donate to urban ecotourism with amounts ranging from 10-20 pesos. The urban ecotourism of the local government of Quezon City enhances political stability and a stable environment for urban ecotourism. 

Urban ecotourism should develop local partnerships to understand societal attitudes to tailor marketing strategies and technological trends to help influence the business performance of urban ecotourism. Based on the study's findings, urban spots in Quezon City need improvements in cleanliness to encourage positive experiences for visitors, to create more environment-friendly activities, to encourage the business sector to support green urban communities, and to provide direct financial benefits for creating more green spaces.
