Vol. 3, No. 2
Abstract
Virtual learning has exploded during the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and become more centric to the lives of students in different schools and universities worldwide. Home-based Learning (HBL) or Virtual Learning can promote self-directed learning. However, teachers and parents must nurture and equip children with the necessary skills to be independent, self-directed learners. With the expansion of virtual courses, there are increasing concerns about developing the students' careers. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of virtual learning towards the career development of the 3rd year college students of Bestlink College of the Philippines in Quezon City. This study gathers evidence-informed considerations for teachers designing lessons and engaging students meaningfully in a unique, online HBL environment. While this is descriptive research that discusses the effectiveness of virtual learning towards the career development of students, future studies can inform this area of work by including more.
