Abstract

Students who are computer literate have the chance to broaden their horizons and develop skills they might not otherwise have in a regular classroom. Every job area is making computer literacy a must. Due to this, it’s crucial to guarantee that all kids, regardless of their home country, city, or neighborhood, have access to learning centers. (Ruth Yohannes 2017)

Given the importance of computer literacy in our culture, the researcher sought to investigate The Effects of Computer Literacy on the Academic Performance of 3rd Year Students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. Computers have become a household necessity throughout time, particularly among youth. Computer literacy skills have been confirmed to be an essential part in the development of the educational system in the Philippines since their inception. Although many young people today are digitally proficient, most of their knowledge may be confined instead of using computer programs like Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, people are using social media via the internet and their phones. This fundamental understanding of computer literacy skills is essential to the academic growth of the learners.
