Abstract

Abuse is a case where a major issue is face by the entire globe. Because this crime does not simply occur like other crimes do. This dilemma is about women who frequently suffer abuse at the hands of their partners or husbands, who are supposed to be the protector. Since then, police have documented and investigated number of cases of women being abused. They report action to assist women who are in need, as well as preventing future instances of abuse they may receive from their partners.

R.A 9262, well known as Anti-Violence against Women and Their Children Act 2004 is a law responsible for women and children who have been experienced an abuse treatment. Our former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo signed this law after it was passed by Congress. The Philippine National Police at Station 4 in Novaliches Quezon City benefited greatly from this law in terms of expanding their programs for abused women. The researchers aimed to determine the Implementation of Philippine National Police programs for abused women and how the respondents assess the effectiveness in dealing with cases of violence against women. As much as possible, the researchers wanted to share our thoughts and verifiable information we found regarding our topic. The researchers also wanted to help by raising awareness among women and informing them of their rights.

The researchers used the descriptive method, which is a type of research that gathers information and administers a survey questionnaire to our respondents to explore and provide a picture of the situation as it naturally occurred. The questionnaire is used by researchers to collect data to provide an adequate interpretation of the topic under study. The researchers interviewed three groups of respondents and they gave reliable information about the case to find out the different problems encountered by the PNP while they’re responding. The findings of the study revealed the Philippine National Police's programs for abused women.
