We use electricity most of the time. Using much electrical equipment such as electric fan, computer, air conditioner, fluorescent lights inside of school increases the rate of electric consumption. This action research aimed to help and give knowledge to the school, especially to its students and to the environment regarding saving electricity consumption by using the alternative source of light. A qualitative method was used inthis study by using the descriptive research design. Only 50 grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management Strandstudents of Bestlink College of the Philippines were selected (S.Y. 2019–2020). Each respondent was given a questionnaire, which includes questions that are related to the effects, causes, and advantages of using an alternative source of light on the school, students, and the environment. Using G-lights, which is an alternative source of light, can lessen electricity consumption. G-lights can help save money to pay electric bills. Therefore, G-lights is effective as an alternative source of light to use in case of electricity shortage and lessens the electricity consumption in schools/houses. G-lights can lessen electricity consumption, therebyhelping save money. The researchers also concluded that this alternative is eco-friendly. The product is made of recyclable materials such as plastic bottles and glass jars. The students can also benefit from using G-lights. This action research discussedvarious advantages of G-lights in saving electricity consumption. This alternative light source is not run by electricity; hence, it can reduce electric consumption, is environment-friendly, and is easy to make.
