Students should consider several factors before arriving at a decision. The purpose of this research was to determine the factors affecting the choice of career among students. A quantitative descriptive method was used as the research design for this study. The researchers utilized purposive sampling. The respondents were 50 selected grade 12 General Academic Strand students. The overall weighted mean of female respondents was 3.90, which was the highest, while the male respondents had 3.59. Male and female respondents strongly agreed that financial support, school facilities, parents’ decision, and peer influence affect their choice of a college degree. According to the findings of the study and conclusions that were drawn, the following guidelines were forwarded. (1) Additional scholarship programs should be offered to help students who are financially in need. (2) Students should choose a school that has a high quality of teaching but has an affordable tuition fee. (3) Students should take a scholarship program if they cannot afford the tuition fee of the school they want to go to. (4) Students should choose a school that has a clean and pleasant environment. (5) Students should choose a school near their homes. (6) Parents should support the passion and interest of their children. (7) Students should not base their choice of a college degree on their parents’ decision; they should consult their parents, but they have to decide themselves. (8) Students should make a goal in life and make their own decisions in their life careers. (9) Students should not rely on their friend’s course; they should decide by themselves what they wanted to be. (10) Students should not depend on their boyfriend/girlfriend’s course.</p>}, number={1}, journal={Ascendens Asia Singapore – Bestlink College of the Philippines Journal of Multidisciplinary Research}, author={Obien, Abbygaile and Rivera, Cherry and Delantar, Maria Mailyn and Espanola, Mary Luz and Opiaza, Criza and Bernales, Geovannie}, year={2020}, month={Apr.} }
