Many children, including teenagers, do not eat nutritious food, which results in malnutrition in many countries. Most children now eat more junk food than fruits and vegetables. Eating excess sweets can cause tooth decay, tonsilitis, and may lead to diabetes. Eating junk foods can also cause UTI and kidney failure. Eating too much junk food is not advisable and is bad for our health. Ampalaya egg pie is a sweet custard confectionary from the Philippines. Children have a problem eating ampalaya because of its bitter taste. Ampalaya can help relieve liver problems, control blood sugar, prevent HIV, protect against skin disease, avoid sterility in women, kill parasites, reduce fever, and purge illness from the body through defecation. The ampalaya leaves and fruits contain vitamin B, iron, calcium, and beta carotene. The researchers used an experimental method because the study focused on the assessment of the respondent on the acceptability of ampalaya egg pie in terms of taste, aroma, nutritional value, competitiveness, and presentation. After the study was conducted, the results showed that ampalaya egg pie is acceptable. Based on the data that we gathered from the survey, our product was accepted by the teachers and students. All 60 respondents agreed that our product will be accepted by the people. The research focused on the level of acceptability of ampalaya egg pie in Bestlink College of the Philippines. Egg pie is a sweet Filipino dessert that resembles an egg custard. It is rich and delicious but very easy to prepare.
