Abstract

An accounting department provides accounting services and manages the finances of a company. Its responsibilities include recording accounts, paying bills, tracking assets and expenditures, managing payroll, and keeping track of critical tax documents. This department commonly lacks cashier facilities, thereby resulting in a long queue, especially during enrollment. The researchers conducted interviews for this feasibility study. The interview method of collecting data involved the presentation of oral-verbal stimuli and reply in terms of oral-verbal responses. This method can be used through personal interviews. The researchers conducted interviews to gather necessary information about the accounting department with regard to their current situation and procedures. Based on the interview and observation, the cashier did not have enough facilities to lessen the queue. The researchers also observed that even when all cashiers were working, a long queue was still observed. The researchers proposed to have new cashier facilities to cater to the increasing number of students every school year. The significance of this study to the accounting department is to improve and enhance its office procedure with proper implementation, thereby resulting in good quality of services and better results in the future.
