Abstract

The proactive and demanding characteristics of the business to reach the pinnacle of its career necessitate active involvement and complete commitment from the employees, thereby influencing their work-life balance (Turanligil and Farooc, 2019). Many studies have been conducted to explore the effect of work-life balance on employees. Nevertheless, they have not yet bridged this gap as per Khalid (2023), achieving balance between life and work can be challenging when one takes precedence over the other. To tackle these gaps, this research study aims to offer new perspectives on how work-life balance affects employee productivity and job satisfaction of employees. This research utilized a quantitative-descriptive methodology to effectively assess the effect of work-life balance on employee productivity and job satisfaction. The researchers distributed 50 survey questionnaires to employees of Pilipinas Messerve Inc., who acted as respondents. The data collected from the survey questionnaire was evaluated using frequency and percentage distribution, arithmetic mean, Likert scale, and ranking. The outcomes indicated that workers are generally more content and effective in their positions when they are provided with sufficient autonomy and power in their duties. In addition, the results showed that the primary difficulties employees face while trying to uphold work-life balance are familial problems, exhaustion, and insufficient personal development, all of which affect their productivity and job fulfillment. In summary, maintaining a balance between work and life affects the productivity and involvement of employees. The researchers advised that the organization implement family-oriented policies, create chances for professional growth, encourage a positive work atmosphere, and exhibit strong leadership to staff. When employees feel content with their work, they gain a deeper feeling of accomplishment and meaning in their roles, resulting in enhanced well-being and happiness (Dagli, 2023).
