Abstract

This study examines the impact of work-life balance on job performance among employees at XYZ Company in Quezon City. It highlights the significance of quality of work life in shaping employees' productivity and overall effectiveness in the workplace. The research seeks to evaluate employees' job performance and explore how workplace conditions affect their quality of work life. Additionally, it aims to identify areas for improvement based on survey findings. A quantitative research design was employed, engaging 196 employees from various departments through purposive sampling. Survey questionnaires served as the primary data collection tool, utilizing a four-point Likert scale to measure responses. Pearson R statistical analysis was used to assess the relationship between quality of work life and job performance. Findings indicate that the workforce at XYZ Company is composed of two major age groups: 21–25 years old and 50 years old and above, demonstrating a balanced distribution of younger and older employees. The majority of employees are male, accounting for 57.65% of the sample. Additionally, both single and married employees are almost equally represented at 96.94%. A significant portion of respondents (40.31%) have been working at XYZ Company for six years or more. Despite these insights, statistical analysis revealed no significant relationship between quality of work life and job performance (p-value = 0.785977). While XYZ Company emphasizes the importance of quality of work life, the study found no significant direct relationship between quality of work life and job performance. However, fostering a positive work environment through initiatives such as employee recognition, mentorship programs, and professional development opportunities may still contribute to long-term employee engagement, satisfaction, and overall workplace productivity.
