PERSONALITY TRAITS THAT TRIGGER THE DEVIANT BEHAVIOR OF CHILD IN CONFLICT WITH THE LAW IN BARANGAY 187 TALA, CALOOCAN CITY

This study examines the ways in which personality traits in Barangay 187 Tala, Caloocan City, contribute to the aberrant behavior of children who are in conflict with the law. Deviant behavior in children who are in legal trouble is a complicated matter that is impacted by a number of elements, such as social, familial, environmental, and individual issues. Fifty (50) people responded to the survey, which was split into three groups: twenty (20) CSWD respondents, fifteen (15) parents, and fifteen (15) barangay officials in Barangay 187 Tala, Caloocan City. To evaluate the variable of the research in the personality traits that trigger the deviant behavior of children in conflict with the law in Barangay 187 Tala, Caloocan City, this study employs a quantitative method, specifically a descriptive research design. To gather accurate data, a survey questionnaire was administered, and the completed questionnaire and the collected data were methodically tallied and organized with interpretation in each table. The most encountered problem by the respondents to deviant behavior based on multiple response of child in conflict with the law. According to the survey's results, the respondents' top concern was mental health conditions like anxiety or sadness, which they said contributed to deviant behavior. These findings suggest that the following measures can be taken to prevent the deviant behavior of children in conflict with the law: providing access to mental health services, which can help address underlying psychological issues that may contribute to deviant behavior; conducting programs and seminars to educate people about proper conduct and good manners; and promoting social development through livelihood creation, protection, and rehabilitation through the City Social Welfare Development and office.
