Abstract

This study examines the challenges faced by proprietors of local computer shops in Camarin, Caloocan City, within the evolving Philippine technology industry. Despite the rise of multinational corporations and online retailers, local computer shops remain essential in addressing digital needs, providing customer support, and fostering community engagement. A descriptive quantitative research design was used to gather data through surveys and questionnaires. The study focused on key factors affecting the viability and longevity of local computer shops, including customer preferences, technological advancements, and market competition. The study identifies key challenges for local computer shop proprietors in Camarin, Caloocan City. Space optimization is essential for maximizing efficiency (Mean: 3.75), while market competition highlights the need for loyalty programs to retain customers (Mean: 3.45). Additionally, service quality can be improved by upgrading internet connectivity (Mean: 3.75). Addressing these issues through better store management, competitive pricing, and service enhancement can help sustain their businesses. The study emphasizes the need for local computer shop proprietors to adapt to market trends, enhance service quality, and implement competitive strategies.
