Abstract

This researcher is conducting the study Assessment of Bachelor of Science in Office Administration Students’ Co-Curricular Activities: Basis for Improvement. The study aims to assess students’ co-curricular activities with the goal of identifying areas for improvement. The abstract highlights the various dimensions of student development influenced by participating in co-curricular activities, including behavioral aspects and expectations. This research underscores the importance of integrating co-curricular activities into the educational landscape as essential components of the organization. The study utilized a quantitative method approach, including a survey questionnaire, and participants included Bachelor of Science in Office Administration students from first year to fourth year. The researchers utilized survey questionnaires as an instrument to gather data and selected the sample based on a systematic interval in chosen respondents within a given population, employing a systematic random sampling technique. The statement of the problem was derived from the theoretical framework. The largest proportion of respondents was observed among those aged 21–23, accounting for 48% of the total. The results of the indicators in the assessment of co-curricular activities among Bachelor of Science in Office Administration students showed that all aspects—participation, behavioral, emotional, and expectations—were rated as "Strongly Agreed." Additionally, the students "Strongly Agreed" on both the challenges encountered in co-curricular activities and the solutions provided. Lastly, the results of the survey questionnaire, which collected quality data and highlighted the performance of BSOA co-curricular activities, led to the suggestion of creating an improvement plan. In summary of the findings, the collected information about how the school's programs and activities were performed by BSOA students ultimately led to the suggestion of creating an improvement plan. The findings will provide insights to the researchers in formulating recommendations based on the data. Furthermore, the results will serve as a basis for developing recommendations to improve the overall process and ensure it meets the needs and expectations of students. The researchers recommended that students' academics be maintained despite the presence of extra activities. As a result, students who access and engage in these activities will find them more accessible.
