Abstract

As the hospitality industry evolved, so did hotel businesses due to the application of digital technology. People want things fast, which is why hotels are seeking new solutions they believe will be effective—changes that will help them perform their work better. However, these changes come with challenges, such as keeping track of room availability, securing data, and managing payment transactions. This study focuses on Anaa: Hotel and Restaurant Management System, designed to enhance the guest experience through real-time room availability, secure data handling, and contactless payment. A mixed-methods approach was applied, incorporating interviews and the Agile methodology to evaluate the effectiveness of this capstone project in improving guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Interviews were conducted with hotel staff to gather insights into the implementation process and its impact. The Agile methodology, which includes planning, designing, development, testing, and deployment, contributed to the system's development. Results show a significant improvement in the guest experience from the capstone project. Knowing room availability in real time made booking faster and reduced overbooking. Keeping data secure helps guests feel confident about their privacy. Using contactless payments made transactions easier, reduced waiting times, and provided convenience to all users. The implementation of the system shows its potential to not only improve guest experience and satisfaction but also enhance operations effectively. However, challenges such as setup costs and staff training need to be addressed to maximize the system's benefits. This research provides valuable insights for researchers seeking to update the technology used to enhance the guest experience in the hospitality industry.
