Abstract

Academic honesty is taking precedence over academic integrity in schools. The gap in this study is to evaluate the factors that affect the academic integrity of Bachelor of Elementary Education students. According to Beruin L. (2022), academic integrity is still a major issue in the academic community as the Philippines begins a new school year. This research study seeks to address the problems encountered when it comes to Behavior (4.44), Academic Performance (4.32), Interpersonal Relationships (3.87), Professional Ethics (4.49), Legal (4.30), and Solidarity (4.26), with all of these aspects interpreted as "strongly agree." The research method used is quantitative and descriptive design with statistical treatments, including frequency and percentage, Likert scale, weighted mean, and ranking, to evaluate the factors that affect the academic integrity of third-year Bachelor of Elementary Education students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. Researchers utilized the random sampling technique, and a sample of 103 respondents was chosen from the third-year Bachelor of Elementary Education students. The study found that schools in higher education still face many challenges, such as cheating during exams, lack of participation in school programs, difficulty building good relationships with peers, failure to follow certain principles, poor communication in school, and copying and pasting sources from the internet due to lack of time. In other words, academic integrity needs to be given attention. The department head's solution presents that, for all solutions to be effective, everyone must act and support others in doing so. For learners to feel confident when instructors are concerned about their needs, it is essential for educators to exercise consideration. The researcher proposed an action plan to improve the academic integrity of third-year Bachelor of Elementary Education students to enhance accountability and efficiency within the institution and assist pioneering individuals in achieving their objectives. It also specifies the measures that will be executed to help the institution accomplish its desired outcomes. The action plan may improve accountability and efficiency within the institution and assist pioneering individuals in achieving their objectives, ultimately helping the institution achieve its desired outcomes. The Theory of Self-Efficacy (self-confidence) is a major determinant of behavior that occurs when people have enough motivation to act on their perceptions of themselves.
