Abstract

Through covert operations, surveillance, and collaboration with other intelligence agencies, the Station Intelligence Unit plays a crucial role in national security by remaining vigilant and adapting to evolving threats. This assessment aims to explore the unit's multifaceted functions, challenges, and overall effectiveness in fulfilling its pivotal role within the intelligence landscape. The researchers submitted a letter of request to conduct the study at Police Station 6, Batasan Hills, Quezon City. After the request was approved, the researchers personally distributed the survey questionnaire for the respondents to answer. The respondents were also informed on how to complete the survey questionnaire correctly. After the questionnaires were answered, they were collected by the researcher for computation, analysis, and interpretation. The study revealed findings based on three respondent categories.

Age: Most of the respondents from personnel are between the ages of 26-30, accounting for 15 respondents.

Sex: The majority of personnel respondents are male, with a total frequency of 9 or 60.00%. Most respondents from the Operations Unit have a frequency of 10 or 67.00%, while the Admin Unit has a frequency of 12 or 60.00%.

Educational Attainment: Among PNP personnel, the majority hold a Bachelor's degree, with a frequency of 14 or 93.00%. Most respondents from the Operations Unit have a Graduate Professional degree, with a frequency of 6 or 40.00%. Lastly, in the Admin Unit, the majority have completed a Two-Year College program, with a frequency of 6 or 30.00% out of 20 respondents. The study found that the assessment of station intelligence branches in intelligence gathering indicates no problems encountered by PNP intelligence personnel. Therefore, the researchers recommend that the indicators with the highest level of agreement among respondents be proposed for enhancing intelligence gathering at Police Station 6, Batasan Hills, Quezon City.
