Abstract

The existing market facilities in Barangay Bahay Pare lack the necessary attributes to meet the specific needs of the customers. Therefore, there is a pressing need to establish a market that offers a good layout, cleanliness, and organization, ensuring an enhanced shopping experience for the customers. This study seeks to establish an organized environment; this entails the design of the market and a systematic arrangement of supplies. By doing so, the market not only becomes visually appealing but also ensures ease of navigation and quick access to the desired items, enhancing customer satisfaction. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative research design, this study engaged five (5) architects and five (5) civil engineers through purposive sampling. Printed survey questionnaires and Google Forms served as the instruments for data collection. The results of this analysis, in terms of construction materials, floor plan, structural stability, structural design, and presentation, are interpreted as Agree. The overall weighted mean of the architects was 3.54, interpreted as Highly Acceptable, while the civil engineers obtained an overall weighted mean of 3.44, interpreted as Highly Acceptable. The t-computed value is 0.7681, with a degree of freedom of 8 and a value of 2.306. Therefore, there is no significant difference between the two groups of respondents. In conclusion, the suggestions and recommendations given by the architects and civil engineers are essential to further improve the miniature.

These are the suggestions of the respondents: find the most durable board for the miniature, consider proper spacing and measurement so that it will look spacious, add more stalls, consider putting in a gate, add a comfort room, take quality time in creating the miniature, place a column every 3m–6m, and lastly, make the streetlights work.
