Abstract

Managing traffic effectively is vital to maintaining safety and smooth movement within urban communities. This study focuses on identifying the difficulties encountered in implementing traffic law enforcement in Barangay Gen. T. De Leon, Valenzuela City. This study utilized a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design to examine the challenges encountered by traffic enforcers in enforcing traffic regulations in Barangay Gen. T. De Leon, Valenzuela City. Data was gathered to provide an accurate depiction of the current issues and highlight areas that require attention. The study involved fifty (50) respondents, divided into two groups: twenty (20) traffic enforcement officers and thirty (30) non-officer enforcers. The research was conducted specifically within Barangay Gen. T. De Leon, Valenzuela City. Regarding age, the largest group of respondents (30%) falls within the 42 to 50 years bracket, followed by those aged 26 to 33 and 34 to 41 years, each comprising 24%. Respondents aged 51 and above represent 14%, while the youngest group (18 to 25 years) accounts for only 8%. In total, more than half (54%) belong to the middle-aged working population (26 to 50 years), with younger and older age groups less represented.

In terms of gender distribution, males dominate the sample, making up 88% of the 50 respondents, whereas females represent only 12%, indicating a largely male respondent base.

With respect to educational attainment, a majority (68%) are college undergraduates, followed by 26% who completed high school. Respondents with lower educational levels are few, and no participants hold a doctoral degree.

Environmental Hazard: 3.78 (Strongly Agree)

Visibility of Traffic Enforcers: 3.75 (Strongly Agree)
