This study investigates the impact of barangay patrol initiatives on the reduction of drug-related cases in Barangay 180, Caloocan City. The research is grounded in the increasing importance of localized law enforcement efforts in addressing community-level drug issues. It draws from related literature on crime prevention, community policing, and barangay-based interventions. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of patrol activities in curbing illegal drug activities, guided by a theoretical and conceptual framework that examines enforcement strategies, visibility, and community trust. A descriptive research design was employed to evaluate the role of barangay patrol operations in reducing drug-related cases. The respondents were selected through appropriate sampling techniques and included residents, local officials, and patrol members of Barangay 180. Data collection was carried out using validated survey instruments, and proper protocols for instrument administration and retrieval were followed. The collected data were analyzed using statistical tools such as frequency distribution, percentage, weighted mean, and correlation analysis to interpret the findings accurately. The results present the demographic profile of respondents and their responses to key survey questions. Statistical analysis showed that regular barangay patrol operations had a positive impact on the perceived reduction of drug-related incidents in the community. Increased visibility, consistent monitoring, and community engagement were found to contribute to heightened awareness and deterrence of illegal drug activities. The findings suggest that residents feel safer and more informed due to the presence of active patrol initiatives. The study concludes that barangay patrols play a significant role in mitigating drug-related cases within the community. The analysis of data supports the idea that consistent patrol operations, when combined with community cooperation, lead to improved security outcomes. The findings underline the importance of sustained support, adequate resources, and coordination with law enforcement agencies. Recommendations include strengthening patrol training, increasing logistical support, and promoting public involvement. Future research may explore long-term trends and compare outcomes with other barangays to validate and expand upon these findings.
