Abstract

The hospitality industry is inherently dynamic, with human capital serving as a vital component of both service quality and operational excellence. Nearly all areas of the sector, from hotels to restaurants, depend heavily on human talent, yet face persistent challenges such as high employee turnover, lengthy hiring processes, inefficient applicant tracking, and fragmented onboarding systems. These issues contribute to reduced productivity, increased costs, and lower customer satisfaction. While large corporations often struggle with the transition to new HR technologies, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) face additional constraints, as access to advanced HR solutions is limited rather than standard. To address these challenges, this study proposes the Human Resource Management System 1 (HRMS-HR1), an AI-driven platform specifically designed to automate HR processes in the hotel and restaurant industry. During the development of HRMS-HR1, the Agile Scrum methodology was employed to enable iterative progress and incorporate real-time feedback throughout the process. The application was built on a microservices-based architecture to ensure scalability and modularity, allowing for seamless future upgrades and expansions. Core functionalities include automated job postings across multiple platforms, a centralized Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for employment marketing and application management, AI-driven resume filtering, and a structured onboarding module designed to streamline and standardize the induction of new hires. The implementation of HRMS-HR1 significantly improved HR operations. The AI-powered resume parser reduced manual screening time by more than 50%, enabling recruiters to quickly identify top candidates based on skills, qualifications, and relevance. The ATS provided a centralized dashboard for tracking applicants throughout the hiring process, while automated job postings streamlined recruitment by distributing vacancies across multiple platforms. The onboarding module further enhanced efficiency by automating document collection, task assignments, milestone tracking, and progress monitoring, ensuring the smooth integration of new hires. The study introduces HRMS-HR1, an AI-powered tool using Hiretual to streamline recruitment and onboarding in hospitality, cutting screening time by 50% and boosting hiring accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
