ASSESSMENT ON ADAPTABILITY STRATEGIES OF FOOD STALL BUSINESSES IN AYALA MALL FAIRVIEW TERRACES

This study aims to evaluate how food stalls at Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces adapt to strategic business approaches, focusing on key areas such as product innovation, supply flexibility, diversification, technological integration, and customer engagement. A total of 25 food stall employees were selected through purposive sampling, and their perceptions were gathered using structured survey questionnaires relevant to the study. The study reveals that food stall employees at Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces strongly agree on several key adaptability strategies. These include using seasonal ingredients (mean = 3.60), collaborating with local businesses for bundled promotions (mean = 3.36), maintaining buffer stock to handle sudden demand surges (mean = 3.52), leveraging technology to enhance products (mean = 4.00), and engaging customers through digital tools such as websites and chatbots (mean = 3.96). Despite these efforts, food stalls face significant challenges in implementing these strategies, primarily due to economic instability and government regulations (68%), unpredictable customer demand and seasonal fluctuations (64%), and high rental and operational costs (64%). This study emphasizes how food stall businesses in Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces adopt localized adaptability strategies to respond to changing market trends. It also proposes a structured action plan to enhance the implementation of these strategies amid various challenges, such as economic shifts and operational demands. The findings further suggest that equipping food stall businesses with the right knowledge and practical adaptation techniques can significantly boost their competitiveness and sustainability.
