Abstract

A medical information system is a system that stores the medical records of the student in Bestlink College of the Philippines (BCP). We encountered many problems; one of the problems is the security of the system. The system storing the medical information of the student is confidential. We used system development life cycle (SDLC) type that has five parts, that is, planning, design, testing, implementation, and maintenance. The planning stage involves all processes that we have to do to make the system, which includes brainstorming. The design includes the layout and flowchart of the system that we are doing. Testing meaning running the system if it works properly and making seminars in using to the possible users for to know how to use the system. The implementation of the system for the user to completely use it for them to have easy work to do. Maintenance includes continuously updating the system if it works and adding possible features that may be needed. We now have a system that stores the medical records of the student, a system that can handle all the medical records of the student in the school, and store them properly. The system includes the medical result of the student during the enrollment process containing all the records of students when they visited the clinic. The system stores the medical record of the students. The system can be helpful to the school management and students. Students can check their previous medical results to determine if they have a certain disease or not. Many schools should provide a system similar to the system we made. The main function of this system is to store the result, history, and previous health status of students. Inside the campus, we suggested making a system that also gives the possible disease that the student may have based on the previous results in future studies.
