Abstract

INTRODUCTION

The issue of misbehavior or behavioral problems among pupils inside the classroom is an issue of discipline in the classroom. Alfonso Central School is not excluded in the occurrence of behavioral problems among pupils. Novice and experienced teachers agreed that behavioral problems among their pupils are one of the most challenging tasks that they have faced in their everyday teaching.

METHODS

This study employed the descriptive-correlational research design to determine the relationships between the variables pupils' behavior and the intervention given by the teacher. The respondents of this study are 48 Grade VI pupils of Alfonso Central School. Descriptive-normative survey and the correlational design was used with the aid of pupils and teachers as informants. Through the normative survey, the perception of the pupils regarding playing video games in relation to study habit was described. Correlation between the variables of misbehavior and teachers' guide intervention used was also established.

RESULTS

Based on the study, pupils are sometimes unwilling to defer to the classroom and school policies. Some pupils’ misbehavior is sometimes caused by poor management of the classroom and the inability of teachers to motivate the pupils. The intervention given to pupils helped them improve their behavior in school.
