INTRODUCTION
This research paper attempted to identify the most common misbehaviors of the students, its factors and its possible solutions. This primarily aimed to compare which among the Grade 10 and Grade 7 students have better behaviors in Pinamukan National High School.
METHODS
A quantitative type of research, the respondents of this study were composed of 135 students (60 from Grade 10, 75 from Grade 7), 135 parents (60 from Grade 10, 75 from Grade7), and 10 (5 from Grade 10, 5 from Grade 7) teachers. The statistical tools employed were the Likert Scale's 5-point frequency type, frequency count, percentage, and the t-Test assuming unequal variances.
RESULTS
Researchers found out that the most common misbehaviors of the students in Pinamukan National High School are the following: (1) doing homework in school, (2) beautifying and grooming themselves, (3) using electronic devices, (4) changing seats, (5) irrelevant drawings, (6) irrelevant readings, (7) wandering around the classroom, (8) running around the classroom, (9) disobedience and playing inside the classroom, and (10) calling out and teasing classmates. It also came out that the number one reason on students' misbehaviors is the "peers' involvement". Abusive peers gained the highest point and selfish peers gained the lowest. The "teacher's involvement" ranked number 2. Strict teachers have the highest point and the lowest rank are the teachers tolerating noisy students. The "parent's involvement" ranked number 3. Strict parents got the highest point and the uncaring parents got the lowest. The number 4 in the ranking is the "school environment" where noisy environment gained the highest point and the dangerous environment gained the lowest.
DISCUSSIONS
The results were used as a basis in identifying other misbehaviors which often occurred when the teacher is not around or the teacher is tolerating the initial attempt to misbehave. The study recommended the review on school policies on guidance and discipline and reiterate the need to create the standard norms. They must also conduct and disseminate the same to the school's stakeholders, especially parents and students.
