Abstract

INTRODUCTION

Classroom management is the number one role of teachers. Effectivity and efficiency are manifested on how they manage the classroom well. Few aspects of education have generated as much concern as classroom management and organization. This study aimed to develop a classroom management manual for senior high school teachers.

METHODS

The study sought to answer the following questions: 1) What is the mean level of evaluation on the characteristics of the Classroom Management Manual in terms of: 1.1) clarity, 1.2) content, 1.3) objective, 1.4) aesthetic value?; 2) What is the mean level of evaluation on the acceptability of Classroom ManagementManual for senior high school teachers in terms of: 2.1) appropriateness, 2.2) adaptability, 2.3) usability, 2.4) validity?; 3) Is there a significant relationship between the evaluation of the characteristics and acceptability of the Classroom ManagementManual for senior high school teachers?

RESULTS

The overall mean on the evaluation of the characteristics and the acceptability of the classroom management manual as rated by the respondents was "very high". Based on the analysis, a significant relationship existed between the ratings of the respondents on the characteristics and acceptability of the Classroom Management Manual.

DISCUSSIONS

The average mean scores of 4.46, 4.45, 4.52 and 4.42 given by the respondents indicated that their ratings on the evaluation of the characteristics of classroom management manual in terms of clarity, content, objectives and aesthetic values were "very high".The average mean score of 4.46, 4.45, 4.44 and 4.47 given by the respondents indicated that their ratings on the evaluation on the acceptability of classroom management manual in terms of appropriateness, adaptability, usability, and validity were "very high"

Based on the analysis of the data, there was a significant relationship between the characteristics of the classroom management manual in terms of clarity, content, objectives, aesthetic value and the acceptability of the classroom management manual in terms of appropriateness, adaptability, usability, and validity as referred on the r-value.On the basis of the findings, the level of teachers' evaluation of the characteristics and acceptability of the developed manual was very high. Moreover, there is a significant relationship between the characteristics and acceptability of the developed Classroom Management Manual, therefore the hypothesis is not supported.
