INTRODUCTION
For some students, one of the most difficult subjects is math. They have confusion in the four fundamental operations of integers so they find it boring. In some cases, they failed to pass the evaluation despite hard work and effort from the teachers. Most students are confused about adding and subtracting integers. Some possible reasons are the perception of students in mathematics and the strategy of the teacher. Thus, the innovation for this problem was a computer game entitled "CEIFFOINT" together with its proper implementation on the K to 12 curriculum program.
METHODS
The study used an experimental method of research wherein the researchers manipulated the experimental group of 30 students and the control group of 30 students. The control group was taught using the traditional method (chalk and talk) while the experimental group was taught using computer game (eLearning Material). The researchers handled the two groups during the experiment period. The researchers believed in the positive use of ICT in teaching mathematics. The findings of the study shall benefit the Mathematics department and other math teachers to promote that learning mathematics is fun and easy. The researchers assured that they treat the respondents and their information with the utmost confidentiality.
RESULTS
This study found that the performance of Grade 7 students in adding and subtracting integers was low. This study proved that CEIFFOINT was effective because there is a significant difference between the post-test of the experimental and the control group. The respondents agreed that CEIFFOINT boosted their interest in doing the activity because of its attractive user interface compared to the traditional way of presenting activities in mathematics (chalk and board). It also encouraged the learners to focus, think, and answer fast to beat the time allotted to each question.
DISCUSSIONS
This research was confined to the investigation of the effectiveness of CEIFFOINT to level up the performance of Grade 7 in adding and subtracting integers at Wenceslao Trinidad Memorial National High School. This study also found that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the control group and the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group.
