Causes of Misbehavior of Elementary Graders in their Classes in Cogonan Elementary School

INTRODUCTION
This research aims to identify the causes of misbehavior, the strategies employed to lessen them, the intervention programs to improve the students' behaviors at Cogonan Elementary School and its implication to other schools with the same problem. In the current scenarios of CES teachers during their discussion, some pupils did not do their task or were not focused on class discussion.
METHODS
To achieve the objective of the study, the researchers used descriptive research design. The researchers used a questionnaire to evaluate the occurrence of students' misbehavior at Cogonan Elementary School. After the problems were identified, the title was formulated; a statement of the problem was used with 6 research problems.
RESULTS
Findings revealed that seeking attention is the most prevalent cause of misbehavior among pupils in Cogonan Elementary School. Moreover, giving recognition or award is the best strategy to lessen misbehavior among pupils. The intervention activity used by the respondents to improve behavior is largely home visitation. A behavioral plan is designed by the researchers.
DISCUSSIONS
Based on the findings of the study, it has been recommended that teachers should provide different activities to address the needs of pupils to avoid misbehavior. Teachers should provide more strategies and approaches to lessen the misbehavior of the pupils. Likewise, teachers should provide intervention for the problem.
