INTRODUCTION
Record keeping is one of the essential tasks in every organization simply because all the records being kept are proofs of transactions occurring in its daily operation. The researcher intended to propose an Automated Record Keeping System (ARKS) for General Parent -Teachers Association Officers of General Mariano Alvarez Technical High School to replace the manual operation the organization currently uses. The intention of the researcher is to help the organization improve its payment services and transactions.
METHODS
The researcher used the GPTA of the Grade 9 council as respondents. A combination of qualitative and quantitative research design was used in the study. Non-probability sampling, specifically the purposive sampling technique, was used with the ICT teachers and Guidance Counselors as respondents and assessors of the database. The researcher also used parameters such as interviews and survey questionnaires adopted from ISO 9126. The formula for weighted mean was used to come up with the values that correspond to the verbal interpretation of the data with the help of the Standard Likert Scale.
RESULTS
After the assessment of the database in terms of its functionality, reliability, usability, and efficiency, it was found out as very satisfactory. The study revealed that the proposed Record Keeping System can help the GPTA officers improve their recordkeeping system in the next school year.
DISCUSSIONS
The database proved to be very satisfactory to the user based on the statistical evaluation and in the range of scores given by the respondents. The system proved to be efficient, accurate in classifying and computing the overall total collection, and a great help to the GPTA officers of GMATHS in their automated transactions.
