Attaining the Learning Competencies through POC3 Process Despite Class Disruption
Keywords:

INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, teachers face challenges like class disruptions, resulting in not achieving the curriculum goals. For the achievement of future goals, the manager performed the 5 functions of management in daily tasks to accomplish the goals (Shah, 2017). Since the teacher is a classroom manager (Magbalot 2011), the researcher projected that the 5 functions of management will be a great help in attaining the competencies despite classroom disruption. Hence, the POC3 Process has been formulated to attain the learning competencies despite class disruption.
METHODS
The study utilized the quantitative strategies of inquiry, using the quasi-experimental design and comparative-evaluative method. A researcher-made questionnaire was the main instrument used in collecting data. Then, to attain the competencies despite class disruptions, the POC3 Process was utilized in the experimental group. Having a controlled and experimental group, the effect of variables was tested.
RESULTS
The MPS of a controlled group for the 3rd Quarter in Araling Panlipunan 9 is 71.85 while in the experimental group got 88.62. Then, with the t-tabular value of 1.987 at 0.05 level of significance and T-computed value of 1.993, 1.989, 1.988, 1.997, 1.989, & 1.991 for 6 topics successively, the null hypothesis is rejected. So, it means that there is a significant difference between the performance of the controlled and experimental group. Using POC3 Process is effective in attaining learning competencies despite class disruption.
DISCUSSIONS
The POC3Process can be utilized as a model in attaining the competencies despite class disruption. It entails proper classroom planning will keep teachers organized and will help students reach objectives more easily. The better prepared the teacher is, the more likely she/he will be able to handle whatever happens unexpectedly in the lesson (AL Shehhi, 2015). The teacher should possess managerial skills to attain optimum goals.
