INTRODUCTION
Solid waste disposal and management is both an urban and rural problem. Every person is a potential generator of solid waste and a contributor to the problem. There is an on-going consensus that the immediate stakeholder in the issue of solid waste is the generator of waste. In this case, the residence needs to join hands with the authorities in dealing with this problem that has far-reaching environmental and human health effects. Particularly, waste volumes have increased in urban area due to the growing urban population. The concentration of industries, consumptions of residents, inadequate finance and facilities to manage waste collection and disposal is dismal. This state of affairs has led to the volume of solid waste generated to go beyond what available facilities can accommodate. With these aforementioned findings, the researcher desire to help Camp Vicente Lim Integrated School students to have knowledge of proper waste management. This gave him the encouragement to conduct this study to determine the compliance of students in proper waste management.

It is recommended that school club officers must create waste diversion and recycling programs that optimize the budget and create a positive impact on the school. Also, the school homeroom officers must educate their classmates in implementing the 3Rs -Reuse, Reduce and Recycle method -and use it in a creative way as decorations displayed around the school.
