INTRODUCTION
The Science subject often gets the lowest mastery level in all subject areas. The issue of lack of mastery of science concepts and skills hopes to be addressed through the use of "MAScience" (Multi-media Activities in Science), a computer -enerated game using PowerPoint Presentation. These are parallel to the competencies that have to be mastered by the students which appeal to the students' interest, leading them to become 21st-century learners.
METHODS
The descriptive method is used in most branches of science, as well as in the social sciences. The study involved all Grade 5 pupils of Ampid I Elementary School, hence the complete enumeration method was used. Data were collected through a questionnaire and were tallied in a worksheet and were treated statistically. Statistical tools such as mean and frequency counts were used.
RESULTS
Based on the study the following significant findings were found out: The respondents have an almost equal percentage in the gender variable and their age corresponds to the appropriate grade placement. The respondents perceived their economic status as a moderately high factor in their mastery level of science skills, with a mean of 2.84; moderately high along with references and reading materials in science, with a mean of 2.96; and high along with study habits, with a mean of 3.70. They perceive that economic status, references and reading materials in science, and their studies are moderately high and high factors that affect the respondents' mastery level in Science V. ICT-based materials can be developed and utilized to improve the science achievement of pupils.
DISCUSSIONS
A more in-depth investigation should be conducted to include other profile variables and other constructs that may affect pupils' science achievement. The ICT-based materials in Science V should be utilized in the teaching-learning process to improve science achievement. A seminar-workshop should be conducted on the development and utilization of ICT-based materials. This study can be replicated focusing on other aspects of Science as a subject or on other subjects.
