Analysis and Recommendations for Common Problems Encountered on the Educational Media Centers at STI College Batangas

Abstract

INTRODUCTION

The primary purpose of learning institutions is to give the best quality of education. It can only be done if there is enough availability of educational media centers. Access in all educational media centers greatly affects the quality of education offered to students like these are the primary sources of efficient and effective teaching and good learning experience. With this, this study aimed to determine the common problems encountered by the educational media centers in STI College Batangas.

METHODS

The study used the descriptive quantitative method of research with the questionnaire as its main tool in gathering data. The respondents of the study are the senior high school students at STI College Batangas. A four-point Likert Type Rating Scale Questionnaire was used for collecting the desired data from the participants.

RESULTS

The researcher made conclusions from the following results: (1) senior high students agreed that educational media centers are enough and they can provide their educational needs, (2) senior high students are aware of the common problems encountered by the educational media centers in STI College Batangas, (3) senior high school students perceived that there are enough safety equipment and precautionary measures in all educational media centers in STI College Batangas, and (4) the study implied that the use of educational media centers provide quality education to the senior high school students of STI College Batangas.

DISCUSSIONS

The study obtained a positive outcome on the level of availability of the educational media centers and the stability of the safety equipment and acquired precautionary measures in every educational media center. The respondents approved that there is no problem on the level of availability of the educational media centers in STI College Batangas. Further, the senior high school students favored that the availability of the safety equipment and precautionary measures in STI which showed that the educational media centers are safe and ready for any type of emergency.
