INTRODUCTION
The study aimed to produce an inventory of the learning styles of the Grade 7 Learners under the K12 Regular Curriculum as a basis for a material development plan that will adjust to the teaching styles of their teachers.
METHODS
The research design is quantitative with twenty-two (22) Grade 7 Regular Students as respondents. The study used the adapted questionnaire from the SEMO Innotech for the Inventory of the Learning Styles of Grade 7 Regular Students and 9 teachers from the Lun Padidu National HighSchool, Malapatan 3 District.
RESULTS
Findings show that nine (9) of the respondents are visual, four (4) are auditory, five (5) are kinesthetic, one (1) is both visual and auditory, one is (1) both visual and kinesthetic, and one (1) has a balanced learning preference of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The dominant learning preference of Grade 7 Learners under the K-12 Regular Curriculum is a visual while the teaching style of most teachers of Grade 7 Learners under the K-12 Regular Curriculum is the demonstrator type which is teacher-centered.
DISCUSSIONS
A LAC session will be conducted to capacitate these teachers in exercising and discovering their strength in facilitative teaching. It is possible for a teacher to use two or more teaching styles. Material development for visual learners should be one of the priorities. Mohanna, et. al (2008) recommended that learning materials focusing on visual and diverse learners should be given attention. This will serve as a guide for the concerned school in their implementation of solutions for addressing the problem. Monitoring and evaluation must be done to validate the proposals continuous improvement. The researchers believe that schools nowadays may face the same issue. Thus, a part of the dissemination plan is to provide research outputs to the different schools in the Division of Sarangani as a guide and reference for their plans in combatting the same problem.
