An Assessment of the Level of Awareness on the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST)among the Educators in Bulacnin Integrated National High School

INTRODUCTION
The Department of Education (Department of Education), through the Teacher Education Council (TEC), issued theDepartment of Education Order entitled, "National Adoption and Implementation of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST)". An assessment of the level of awareness in PPST is deemed important to develop possible ways of addressing the identified issues.
METHODS
Respondents of this study were teachers from Bulacnin Integrated National High School. A survey questionnaire was constructed and validated to quantify their views. Forty educators participated in this research. The survey questionnaires were distributed, gathered, tabulated and analyzed.
RESULTS
The results indicated that majority of the respondents are young adults, females, and attained bachelor's degrees. In addition, the majority of them are somewhat aware of the adoption, implementation, and content of the PPST.
DISCUSSIONS
A proposed action plan was conceptualized to improve the respondents' awareness of PPST.
